USS Texas (BB-35) Battleship – 4,095 Piece Set
Dreadnought survivor. D-Day veteran.
USS Texas (BB-35) holds the distinction of being the world's last surviving dreadnought battleship, a floating museum preserving the era when battleships ruled the seas. Commissioned in 1914, Texas served in both World Wars, her 14-inch guns supporting Allied landings at Normandy, Southern France, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. She pioneered innovations including aircraft launched from battleships and radar-directed fire control. After 32 years of service earning five battle stars, Texas became the first battleship preserved as a permanent memorial, now undergoing restoration at Galveston to ensure future generations can walk her decks.
This 1:700 scale build captures Texas in her WWII configuration. From the cage masts replaced by modern fire control towers to the multiple 14-inch gun turrets and extensive anti-aircraft batteries, every detail represents the evolution of dreadnought design through decades of service.
